Medium dark Roast Coffee Beans

Medium-Dark Roast Coffee is for the adventurous. As the name suggests, these beans sit somewhere between a Medium Roast and a Dark Roast Coffee. Despite several unique qualities, however, it remains a relative unknown in the industry.

Nevertheless, Medium-Dark-Roast is to the taste of many, including many here at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company. Why not discover its potential today right here? You won’t regret it.

Our hope is that one day, Medium Dark Roast Coffee Beans will get the recognition they so sorely deserve. After all, they have much to offer connoisseurs and casual drinkers everywhere.

For starters, and indeed most importantly, they boast an extraordinarily great taste. This is the product of the roasting stage itself. Tow of our popular dark roasts are our Italian Coffee and Continental Coffee

Coffee beans pop, crack and expand at various stages during roasting. Medium-Dark Roast Coffees, in particular, are created during what is known as the ‘second crack’. This takes place when the beans are subjected to heats between 435°F and 445°F.

Once complete, this process gives the Coffee a darker colour with oil beginning to show on the surface. In terms of flavour, it brings about a distinct bittersweet taste with occasional spicy notes.
