More About Young Hyson Green Tea
Young Hyson Green Tea consists of long, thinly-rolled, twisted leaves that unfurl when brewed. Its name likely derives from a Cantonese term that translates to mean “flourishing spring Tea”. This refers to the time of year in which workers harvest the leaves.
It then arrives at the factory for processing, at which point it undergoes “pan-firing” to halt oxidation.
By stopping the Tea from oxidising, the loose leaf maintains much of its natural chemical structure and taste. This production method also has an influence on its Green Tea caffeine, which amounts to around 30-mg per 8-oz serving.
Although not as caffeinated as, say, Black Tea, our Young Hyson Green Tea still makes for an excellent choice first thing in the morning.

Benefits of Young Hyson Green Tea
This wholesome, nutritious infusion contains a wealth of vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants. Together, these chemical compounds fight and neutralise free radicals in the body, the product of natural, though often harmful, human oxidation.
In doing this, Young Hyson Green Tea can reduce the risk of developing a multitude of chronic conditions. This includes cardiovascular disease, type-2 diabetes and even, very potentially, certain types of cancer.
But that’s not all on offer here. There is also preliminary evidence suggesting that it can boost the metabolism of fat cells. This, in turn, enables the body to burn fat not only quicker but also more efficiently.
And if that wasn’t enough, researchers believe it can support the immune system, aid digestion and even enhance brain function. Pretty neat for your morning cuppa, wouldn’t you agree?
