Spice Black Tea Ingredients
China has produced Loose Tea for some 5,000 years. However, Chinese Black Tea, in particular, only dates back a few hundred years. Legend has it that the first type was Lapsang Souchong, although many other varieties have since been created.
Cloves, on the other hand, have a far more ancient history. They have provided one of the most potent and desirable flavours in the world of spice for millennia.
Does Spice Black Tea Have Caffeine?
Though Cloves don’t contain caffeine, Black Tea leaves do. This stimulating chemical compound functions by blocking adenosine, a neurotransmitter that relaxes the brain.
The result is that caffeine has the opposite effect, making you feel more energised and less sleepy. Black Tea is also the most processed Type of Tea, which means that it has upwards of 40-mg of caffeine per serving.
Black Spice Tea Calories
The even better news is that Black Spice Tea has no more than two calories a cup. It is, therefore, an excellent alternative to sugary, fatty soft drinks – and tastes better, too.
More remarkable still is its ability to boost the metabolism of fat cells, enabling the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently. We’ll tell you more about Spice Black Tea benefits after showing you how to make Spice Black Tea.

Spice Black Tea Benefits
Both Black Tea and Cloves contain a wealth of vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants. These combined can combat free radicals in the body, in turn slowing oxidative stress.
It then works on a molecular level to reduce the risk of developing several chronic conditions, including heart disease, type-2 diabetes and even, potentially, cancer. But where is the concrete evidence?
Research from the Journal of Methods in Molecular Biology, conducted in 2010, has the answers. It noted that Cloves contain a compound called eugenol, which was five times more effective at neutralising free radicals than Vitamin E.
Meanwhile, in the case of Black Tea, a 2019 study concluded that its catechins and flavonoids provide outstanding protection in much of the same way.
