For September I have chosen these five teas: two fine Black Teas, a rare Assam Green Tea, a redcurrant autumn tea and an Apple Tea
Darjeeling Tea Sungma Tea Estate: This Darjeeling Sungma is a Broken Pekoe Souchong grade and is organic in production. The loose tea leaves are tight and curly with portions of green. It has a great strong flavour which we are sure our Darjeeling customers will love. In cup the tea has a delightful golden red liquor with a strong spicy taste.
Redcurrant Autumn Tea: As the cold weather rolls in the clocks go back and the leaves start to fall.. Time for an Autumnal brew.. Our Redcurrant Autumn Tea is based on a Black China Tea which we scent with natural Redcurrant flavouring and blended with Red Safflowers. Brew using boiling water and infuse for 3 to 4 minutes.
China Black Tea from the Anhui province of China: A lovely dark loose leaf tea with large black leaves that produces a lovely amber liquor. A traditional strong tasting china black tea. Sometimes used as a good breakfast tea or for a base tea for flavouring and scenting.
Assam Joonktollee Green Tea: from the south bank of the Brahmaputra river in the Indian state of Assam. This rare unfermented speciality loose leaf tea has a fine even green leaf. This remarkable loose green tea is a great example of a tea that would normally be used for a black fermented leaf but is manufactured green. Light Grassy Green notes with a bright amber coloured liquor and a pleasant body.
Kentish Apple tea is an appealing apple flavoured tea. The Garden of England is known for its wonderful apples and this tea rings with apple flavour with a pleasant aroma.
