Pineapple and Honey Black Tea is a tropical delight brimming with character and charm. It is a type of Loose Leaf China Black Tea to which we add all-natural pineapple and honey flavouring.
The result is, put simply, exquisite. Every sip boasts sweet, luxurious notes evoking images of sun-kissed paradises. Perhaps best of all, we pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory.
That’s not all on offer here. While Pineapple and Honey Black Tea might seem like a naughty indulgence, it can, in truth, be quite the opposite.
This is because, according to the latest scientific research, it comes with Black Tea benefits. Additionally, it contains a considerable amount of caffeine – around 45-mg per 8-oz cup. What’s not to like from your new favourite brew?
The Art of Flavouring Loose Leaf Tea
Pineapple and Honey Black Tea is a new “invention.” It has existed only for the last few years – but it belongs to a long and expansive history of flavouring Tea.
Indeed, contrary to popular belief, this art form dates back almost to the time that Tea was first discovered. During this period, people added the likes of fruit, nuts and herbs to their infusions. The practise continued for millennia.
Most famous of all is Chai Tea. This is an Indian Black Tea that tends to include ingredients such as cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and peppercorns. The result is truly delightful.
Then there is Earl Grey, another type of Black Tea scented with bergamot oil. These are the predecessors of Pineapple and Honey Black Tea and other similar Flavoured Tea varieties – and we have a lot to thank them for.
How to Brew Pineapple and Honey Black Tea
1, Put Tea leaves into a Tea Infuser or Filter (both available here).
2, Place the Tea-filled accessory in a mug or cup.
3, Pour freshly boiled water over the Loose Leaf Tea.
4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.
How to Serve: There is the option of adding milk, sugar, honey or lemon. However, we believe it provides the best flavour without any accompaniments.
Benefits of Pineapple and Honey Black Tea
Habitual Tea drinking (at least three times a week) could support a longer, healthier life. This is according to a study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, which saw 100,902 volunteers split into two groups.
The first group comprised participants who drank three or more cups of Tea a week. The second group included those who drank less than three brews a week.
Both sets of test subjects were followed-up for a median of 7.3 years. The results ultimately established that 50-year-old habitual Tea drinkers have a 20% lower risk of developing coronary heart disease.
Additionally, scientists noted that these same brew lovers could live up to 1.26 years longer than someone who never or rarely drank Tea.
