Matcha Peppermint Tea is the perfect blend of Peppermint Herbal Tea with Matcha Green Tea Powder. Both infusions have been ground into the traditional consistency, offering grassy overtones and minty undertones.
Not only does it taste fantastic in Tea, but it is likewise an excellent addition to smoothies, healthy cocktails and juices. We pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory.
What is Peppermint Matcha Tea?
The story of our Matcha Green Tea with Peppermint Tea is twofold. The Herbal Tea component derives from the aromatic, rhizomatous perennial plant of the same name. A member of the Lamiaceae family, Peppermint is a natural hybrid of Watermint (Mentha aquatica) and Spearmint Tea (Mentha spicata).
It can reach heights of up to 90 centimetres (35 inches), boasting green leaves with serrated edges.
These leaves are what we use in the making of Peppermint Matcha Tea. But what about the Loose Leaf Green Tea component? Like all other types of “real” Tea, Matcha comes from the Camellia sinensis (Tea) plant.
Unlike its counterparts, the entire leaf is used after being shade-grown for at least two weeks. The result is that its antioxidant strength is about 137 times more than standard Green Tea.
The history of the beverage dates back centuries. It has a close association with Japanese Tea ceremonies, a ritualistic experience of peace, harmony and grace. This age-old practice involves several traditional utensils, including a Matcha Tea Whisk and a Bamboo Matcha Tea Spoon.
Nowadays, you can still use these accessories when you want to know how to make Peppermint Matcha Tea.
