Nepal Tea TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) is a type of Nepalese Black Tea. It comes from the country’s primary growing district, Ilam, which borders the Indian region of Darjeeling.
This indeed means that it shares some of the characteristics of its better-known neighbour. Yet it also has several unique qualities to offer – as, hopefully, you’re about to find out.
When brewed, Nepal Tea TGFOP has a flowery, fresh, complex taste rounded off with muscatel undertones – a rare delight from start to finish. There are suggestions, too, that it comes with Black Tea Benefits, including improved heart health and boosted immunity.
We pack this mid-season Loose Leaf Tea fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory, ensuring quality and consistency, time and time again.
The Story of Nepal Tea
Nepal is a nation of diverse environments, people, customs, cultures and languages. From snow-capped mountain peaks to lush plains and tropical paradises, it is a true sight to behold.
Yet, despite its unmistakable allure, only 0.1% of the world’s total Tea output comes from Nepal. What it lacks in quantity, though, it makes up for in quality.
Production started in 1863, which is relatively “recent” compared to the likes of China – a country with a 5,000-year history of Tea – and Japan. Its initial years suffered greatly due to political upheaval in the region.
It wasn’t until the 1950s, in fact, that growing Nepalese Tea became economically viable. The first mass-production Tea factory opened in Ilam district in 1978 – some 100 years after the industry’s start.
Our Nepal Tea TGFOP is one such example of a Loose Tea from Ilam. However, even now, to get your hands on such an infusion is somewhat of a rarity.
This is why The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company is proud to stock it. Indeed, this is why we’re excited for you to indulge in its delicious, invigorating flavour and health benefits. Buy it and try it today.

Health Benefits of Nepal Tea TGFOP
Our skin is the largest organ – one that requires plenty of care and attention. Drinking Nepal Tea TGFOP – or even applying it topically – might provide support.
This is for several reasons, although mostly because of its antioxidants. The polyphenols and Tannins in Tea, for instance, can boost the rejuvenation of skin cells. Its catechins and flavonoids, meanwhile, might prevent skin infections.
