About the Ingredients in Imperial Spice Tea
Souks are traditional markets held across the Middle East and, perhaps most famously, in Marrakesh in Morocco. The awe-inspiring sights and smells of these places will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
We have attempted to harness that awe with our Imperial Spice Tea. But what ingredients are involved in its making? How, exactly, does it honour the tradition of Souks?
When people think of these marketplaces, thoughts often drift to the spice trade. Clove Buds are one such spice that we include in the infusion. Deriving from the Syzygium aromaticum tree of the Myrtaceae family, Cloves offer one of the most potent and easily recognisable flavours in the world.
They are delicious in Chai Tea but are equally well-placed in our quintessentially Moroccan beverage.
Then there are the Tea leaves themselves. Despite originating from China, Leaf Tea likewise has a close association with Morocco, particularly so-called Moroccan Mint Tea. This is a blend of Green and Peppermint or Spearmint Tea that dates back centuries.
When it comes to Imperial Spice Tea, we’ve made a twist on a classic that you’ll undoubtedly love from the very first to the very last sip.
