French Breakfast Tea Village Blend is a type of Black Tea that includes leaves from Qimen County, China, and Tinsukia in Assam, India. The grade is Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP).
When you make a cup of this delightful infusion, you can expect classic malty flavours with a sweet, clean finish. We pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory.
French Breakfast Tea vs English Breakfast Tea
But why pick this Tea when English Breakfast Tea is unquestionably more famous? The primary difference between the two is the fact that the latter beverage uses Ceylon Tea rather than Chinese Tea.
This has a significant influence on its taste, character and profile. While both are delicious, our French Breakfast Tea Village Blend has the benefit of being wholly unique.
What is French Breakfast Tea?
You might also be wondering why it’s called French Breakfast Tea in the first place. The reason is simple: we initially made it for our French clientele. However, such was its immense popularity that people started drinking it around the world.
It has, indeed, become one of our best-selling Black Tea blends, going above and beyond to impress all those who drink it.
French Breakfast Tea Ingredients
Now to discuss the French Breakfast Tea Ingredients themselves. Qimen County in China is where we get Keemun Tea (an archaic English spelling of the county), which was first produced in the 19th century.
Assam Tea is similar in the sense that it, too, came about during the 1800s. However, it is the product of India, not China. When combined, they’re a match made in heaven.
French Breakfast Tea Caffeine
And then there is its caffeine content, which amounts to around 45-mg per 8-oz cup. This stimulating chemical compound, as most people will know already, provides an energy boost. It is one way of getting out of bed in the morning – not to mention the fact that, put simply, the Tea itself tastes great.
