Decaf (none)
Coffea (Coffee) is one of around 60 plants to naturally contain caffeine. Another popular one is, of course, Tea. If, however, you’re looking to avoid this stimulating compound in your morning cuppa, then a Decaf Coffee is an excellent choice.
Contrary to popular belief, no Coffee plant is void of caffeine. As such, it must undergo a process known as Decaffeination.

Although Decaffeination doesn’t extract 100% of caffeine out of the Coffee Beans, it usually gets rid of 94-98%. Ultimately, it depends on the particular product when it comes to “How Much Caffeine is in a Cup of Coffee?” Here at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company, we stock two types. These are Decaffeinated Coffee and Decaffeinated Water Processed Coffee.
The former of the two is the product of Carbon Dioxide processing. This is the safest and most efficient method of Decaffeination. It works by using pressurised liquid CO2 to extract the small caffeine molecules. At the same time, it ensures that all the flavour molecules remain intact.
The latter, on the other hand, is, as its name suggests, decaffeinated using water. This process is equally safe, with the hot water first extracting both the caffeine and flavour molecules. The taste is, thankfully, returned to the product afterwards! Whichever one you choose, you’ve chosen well.
