Rupajulie Estate Tea comes from Assam, India. The garden lies near to the town of Rangapara, which itself is on the north bank of the mighty Brahmaputra river. It belongs to the Mcleod Russel Tea Plantation Group, a company that deals only with the utmost quality.
The same applies to us, whereby we pack this Tea, like almost every other product we stock, fresh to order.
When brewed, Rupajulie Estate Tea boasts strong, lively, malty notes with every sip. It is a true delight to the senses, one that might also come with Black Tea benefits.
Additionally, there is a significant amount of caffeine in it (approx. 45-mg per 8-oz cup). This makes it an excellent choice for those looking for an extra boost first thing in the morning. Why not buy it and try it today?
What Grade is This Tea?
Rupajulie Estate Tea is of the Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP) grade. The “TG” at the beginning of the term refers to it having an especially high content of golden tips – which is to the taste of many.
Then there is “FOP,” denoting Tea made from the top bud and the first two leaves of each new shoot. They tend to contain young, tender leaves with a balanced amount of “tip” and “bud.”
The Rupajulie Tea Estate
This garden finds itself in the Sonitpur District, in turn in the Indian State of Assam. It covers an area of 371 hectares, producing over 1,000 tonnes of Tea every year.
Although Rupajuli doesn’t yet share the same renown as other nearby Estates, it has much to offer – including, of course, our Rupajulie Estate Tea.

The story of Indian Tea as a whole began here some 200 years ago. It was a Scotsman named Robert Bruce, assisted by his brother and, not least, the local Singpho Tribe, who essentially kickstarted the local Tea industry.
Indeed, thanks to Assam Tea, we now have the likes of Chai, Darjeeling, Nilgiri and even Kenya Tea (it’s complicated). Start your journey with Rupajulie Estate Tea and keep exploring!

These chemical compounds, similar to EGCG in Green Tea, can combat free radicals in the body. This, in turn, slows down the harmful process of oxidative stress, thus reducing the risk of developing a multitude of chronic conditions.
