Cinnamon and Plum Green Tea is a Loose Chinese Tea scented with fruits and spices. It is a lovely, warming infusion from start to finish, offering grassy flavours accompanied by bold notes of its namesake ingredients.
We pack it fresh to order here at our Pluckley-based factory, nestled in the stunning vistas of the Kentish countryside. In doing so, we can guarantee quality and consistency with every cuppa brewed.
But that’s not all on offer here. Cinnamon and Plum Green Tea comes with a reasonable amount of caffeine (around 30-mg per 8-oz cup). There is also the chance, according to research, of it providing Green Tea health benefits.
Scientists indeed believe that it promotes weight loss and improves heart health. Perhaps most important, however, is the fact that it tastes fantastic.
About Cinnamon and Plum Green Tea
The Green Tea leaves found in this beverage serve as the base. Their history, legend has it, dates back some 5,000 years to when an ancient Chinese Emperor named Shennong discovered them by pure accident.
Whether this tale took place remains a topic of considerable debate. Regardless, Green Tea went on to take the world by storm – as it continues to do so to this day.
Cinnamon has similar, mysterious origins. One tale, created by merchants keen to make a sale, is that the spice was once “guarded” by gigantic birds high on mountain peaks. When the locals discovered its existence, they tried to entice the creatures down by luring them with ox meat.
The birds would then return to their nests with their food, the weight of which caused the Cinnamon to topple down.
All that was left, then, was to gather it – or so the story goes! One way or another, the blending of these two ingredients, in addition to plums, was found to be a delicious combination.
Whatever happened to see these components meet, we are just glad that it did. The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company now proudly stock Cinnamon and Plum Green Tea for everyone to enjoy.

Cinnamon and Plum Green Tea Benefits
Early evidence suggests that the antioxidants in Cinnamon and Plum Green Tea can improve cognitive (brain) function.
In one study conducted at the University of Basel, Switzerland, researchers found that extracts of Green Tea increase the brain’s effective connectivity. This refers to the causal influence that one brain area exerts over another.
The effect of this connectivity also led to the improvement of cognitive improvement as proven by the volunteers who, after consuming the extract, tested significantly better for memory tasks. However, until we know more, The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company does NOT endorse this Tea for this purpose. Instead, we support ongoing research.
