Bombay Chai Matcha Tea
This unusual blend of match and spicy chai notes is a perfect pairing! Matcha can be used, not only as a drink but it is a perfect addition to porridge, smoothies and juices for a spicy sweet kick!
Matcha is full of amazing health benefits; it contains high amounts of green tea flavonoids such as EGCG, it supports brain concentration and improves learning performances, slow release energy, healthy skin and as the high amount of caffeine raises metabolism, it is a calorie burner. Tasting Notes– This bright and fresh matcha is bursting full of spicy chai flavours which is through the usual bitterness of matchas.
Type of Tea– Kenya Green Tea, Chinese Green Tea and Indian Green Tea
Origin– Nandi Highlands, Africa, Zhejiang Province, China and Kerala, India.
Ingredients– Green tea, Cardamom, Ginger, Black and White pepper, Cinnamon, Clove and Nutmeg.
Colour in Cup– A bright yellow-green cloudy liquor with a velvet texture.
Instructions for Matcha Brewing-1 flat teaspoon of Matcha to your tea bowl and mix with a couple of drops of water to make a smooth paste. Top up the tea bowl to ¾ full water at 80°C. Mix with a bamboo or electric whisk until a creamy froth forms on the surface
Use either whisked in the traditional way, as an ingredient in smoothies, juices, desserts or use frothed up in milk instead of water as a matcha latte.
Storage– Airtight container away from strong smells and direct sunlight.
