A Historic Gem
Maryculter House is seated next to the waters of River Dee and can be traced as far back as 1187, starting off as a portion of the Knights Templar who built their headquarters there during the era of King William the 1st.
The Great Hall is part of the hotel’s most historical section dating (1460) and all the stone vaulted rooms located next to the famous burial grounds. In the oldest section of the hotel, witness how pervading history is by visiting its shared spaces.
After the Protestant Reformation started, The Order of St. John members fled as the order was dissolved in 1312 which resulted in Pope Clement V and Philippe Le Bel suppressing them which eventually led to the cultural environment in that region changing.

First major right turn with A944 road approximately 10 miles along will directly take you towards the direction of the hotel. Remember, the service for Afternoon Tea is provided daily from 2 until 430 in the afternoon. Even though pre-booking is not mandatory, it is better to book in advance to avoid any delays or other issues at the time of visiting.
